AKIRA

Classic film. I'm not going to call it "anime" since that carries the connotation of... anime. You know what I mean. The animation is absolutely mind-blowingly amazing, and the story makes absolutely no sense (unless you've read the actual manga books, all 2182 pages of it). Even if you have no particular interest in anime or comics (me), I think Akira goes beyond those boundaries. Watch this trailer.

Also, the soundtrack is sick.
